Really, Real Life.

I've been pondering my post all morning... My wonderful DH has been at the end of his rope with his job and the fact that his coworker and friend... who requested that DH transfer up here... has been made assistant shop manager for this region. Now, mind the fact... there is no real shop up here, and that there are only 2 employees in this region.... and you can see where this is headed... a huge pompass ego and a whole lot of micro-managing! (This guy waits on the side of the road to clock the time that DH passes his exit to see if he is "going to be late." Never mind that it's a 85 minute drive to his exit!)

We've been praying about what we are to do... Does he look for another job in the area? Does he go over the sup's head to the shop manager or company owner? Do we try to get transferred back to Maryland? God revealed scripture to my DH... and it was Matthew 5:43-48 that he was given as he prayed about the situation... "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." His friend from one of his job sites... stopped and prayed with him, right there on the worksite floor. We know that God has it under control and things will be revealed in His timing.

DH also told his friend about my needing work... his friend told him that I should go after the job that I want... and my health issues will be healed. (That's a lot of faith!) But as I picked up my bible to get the reference for the scripture above... I was given a scripture of my own! I was given Matthew 4:6.... "For the scriptures say, 'He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands... so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone.' " (It's a scripture that is actually Satan talking to Jesus... but taking just that piece of it... is what I needed to know today.) That, in fact, God loves us as he loved his Son, and we have the same protection that he would give Jesus facing Satan in the desert, and these days it does feel like a desert sometimes.

My prayer for today is that God will continue to work in our lives, in the "sup's life", continue to bless this company and it's owners... for continued work for DH in this area and lead me to where I am to go to work... 'cuz I know it's out there waiting for me.
Thanks for reading... be blessed!

I am sorry your husband is going through such an ordeal at work. In these hard economic times it really does take a huge faith in God. I hope all works out for both of you with jobs.
