Just a Quick Note...

Hi! I'm back... our little road trip yesterday was wonderful... sad at times, but still sweet and wonderful. We went to a funeral for a dear friend's mother who had finally passed after a long and difficult struggle with an injury as a result of Hurricane Katrina. Miss Helen was a trooper and keep up such a wonderful spirit in spite of all the pain and constant set-backs. She knew that Jesus was gonna meet her at her final reward and she spent the last 8 months getting her family ready for that day and it showed as her children were able to eulogize her and give her such a nice tribute.

After... we did manage to get a few things done that we wanted to do... and still catch up with friends. I have lots of stories to share... and this trip truly touched our hearts and bonded us even deeper in love for each other and what we have.

I am exhausted... DH is exhausted... and we have really taken the day off. We've slept in, had a wonderful brunch and been as lazy as we want to be today after a hectic week of travels and late nights and hard work. I'll be back tomorrow to share! I promise!
